At their 1542nd meeting, on 7 November, the Ministers’ Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjord Gylfadóttir, Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the situation of children of Ukraine, about her activities since her nomination in early February 2025 [more information …].
The Deputies also held an exchange of views with Ms Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou, President of the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO), on the work carried out by GREVIO over the past year and emerging trends and future challenges.
The Deputies held their regular exchange with Secretary General Alain Berset and heard a communication by Mathieu Mori, Secretary General of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
The President of the Ministers’ Deputies, Francesca Camilleri Vettiger, gave a report on the results of the Co-ordination Group meeting between the Council of Europe and the OSCE, held in Vienna on 24 October 2025, which focused on the state of co-operation in the areas of combating terrorism and trafficking in human beings, and underscored the importance of continued information exchange and collaboration between the two Organisations [more information …].
In addition, the Deputies approved an Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2026-2029 and took note of: the final report on the implementation of the 2021-2024 Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova; a progress report on the implementation of the Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026; and a progress review report on the implementation of the Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026.
