The Council of Europe office in Chisinau is currently looking for a Project Officer to support the implementation of activities under the project “Promoting European standards in the audio-visual regulation of the Republic of Moldova”. The project will address the needs to strengthen the media and broadcasting sector through the implementation of European standards related to media pluralism and in enhancing the professionalism of public service broadcasters. The activities envisaged under the project are structured around two components focusing on: i) the improvement and proper implementation of the regulatory framework related to media pluralism; ii) enhancing professionalism of public service broadcasters.

This local recruitment procedure is open to applicants already present in the Republic of Moldova. Only applicants who best meet the following criteria will be considered for shortlisting.

Qualifications: Completed full course of general secondary education and appropriate professional qualifications, preferably in media or a related field.

Experience: At least two years of relevant professional experience contributing to the implementation and management of projects in media or a related field.

Language requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Romanian (mother tongue level);
• Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English).

Nationality: Nationality of host country or one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.

Age: Under 65 years of age at the closing date of the vacancy notice.
