Falk Lange, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, had a meeting with Cristina Gherasimov, the Deputy Prime Minister for European integration of the Republic of Moldova.

During the meeting, current topics were discussed, with an emphasis on the implementation of reforms and on the developments regarding the implementation of the Action Plan of the Council of Europe for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024. The officials also referred to the perspectives of the new projects to be carried out, including through the lens of the future Action Plan for 2025-2028, aimed at strengthening rule of law, democracy and adherence to human right by complying with international standards and promoting European values.

Falk Lange congratulated Cristina Gherasimov for taking over the European integration portfolio and expressed his high appreciation for the level of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Council of Europe. The Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau reconfirmed the continuous support of the CoE in strengthening democratic institutions and supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
