Enhancing cooperation in strengthening the rule of law, discussed by Falk Lange, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, with Domnica Manole, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova

Falk Lange, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, had a meeting with Domnica Manole, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova. The officials discussed deepening cooperation between the two institutions to support the justice reform process in line with European standards and the country's commitments, the Constitutional Court having a crucial role in this regard.

During the meeting, the preparations for organizing the 19th Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, which will take place in Chisinau in May 2024, were also discussed.

"The Constitutional Court is one of the main beneficiaries and partners of the EU-CoE project Support to justice reform in the Republic of Moldova implemented by the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau. Therefore, I want to assure you that we will continue to provide the institution with all the necessary support, including in organizing the Congress in May. We are currently working on a new Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova for 2025-2028, and the contributions of the Constitutional Court in this regard are essential", said the Council of Europe official.

Domnica Manole, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, expressed gratitude for the fruitful cooperation and successful projects implemented by the Council of Europe in the Republic of Moldova to strengthen the rule of law, human rights, and democracy.
