Artificial intelligence in judicial systems, gender diversity amongst judges and online training on the agenda of the CEPEJ-GT-QUAL

The CEPEJ Working group on quality (CEPEJ-GT-QUAL) met on 11 and 12 October 2021 and discussed new approaches ensuring the application and follow-up of the European ethical Charter on the use of Artificial Intelligence in judicial systems and their environment. The group also discussed the draft guidelines on ensuring gender diversity in the recruitment and promotion of judges, as well as the development on training modules on CEPEJ-GT-QUAL tools, which could be made available via the Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) online training platform.
