The closing event of the CEPEJ Project “Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in Azerbaijan” implemented under the joint EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance II programme (PGGII) took place on 21 February 2023.

On this occasion, the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Judicial Legal Council, Supreme Court and Justice Academy, as well as CEPEJ experts presented the results achieved and the deliverables and during the past four years in the framework of the Project lifespan.

Since 2019, the objective of the project was to enhance the application of efficiency and quality of services tools to court users within Azerbaijani courts as well as to accompany the modernisation of the enforcement system of judgements. The CEPEJ now intends to continue cooperation activities in Azerbaijan, in particular to provide expertise and assistance on fostering mediation.

This activity was carried out in the framework of the project "Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in Azerbaijan", funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II.
