The CEPEJ Working Group on the evaluation of judicial systems (CEPEJ-GT-EVAL) will hold its 44th meeting in Paris on 2 and 3 February. At this meeting, the Group will finalise the evaluation questionnaire for the 2024 evaluation cycle (2022 data) which will be open to national correspondents in March this year, as well as the explanatory note that will accompany it. The Group will also consider drafts of specific studies on legal professionals that are based on CEPEJ data from year 2020, namely the Specific study on judicial experts prepared by the European Expertise and Expert Institute (EEEI) and Specific study on notaries prepared by the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE). The state of cooperation with the European Commission developed within the framework of the CEPEJ's evaluation activities (European Union Justice Scoreboard, Dashboard Western Balkans and Dashboard Eastern Partnership) will also be presented. Finally, the Group will discuss its contribution to the potential update of the Recommendation (86)12 of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe “concerning measures to prevent and reduce the excessive workload in the courts” prepared by the SATURN Working Group of the CEPEJ.
