On 23 November 2022, the European Committee on Legal Cooperation decided at its 99th plenary meeting to grant observer status to two organisations that can contribute to the achievement of its objectives, namely the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ). The CDCJ decided unanimously that these organisations fulfilled the criteria adopted by the Committee for being granted observer status. Representatives of the CCBE and ICJ were granted access to CDCJ’s activities with immediate effect.
