The CCJE President took part in the General Assembly of the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary

The CCJE President, Judge Leonie Reynolds (Ireland), took part in the General Assembly of the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ) which was organised on 4-6 June 2025 in Riga, Latvia.  

The CCJE President delivered opening remarks for the General Assembly, as well as highlighted the work, Opinions and standards of the CCJE, focusing on its recently adopted Opinion No. 27 (2024) on the disciplinary liability of judges, as well as Opinion No. 26 (2023) entitled "Moving forward: the use of assistive technology in the judiciary”. The CCJE President also contributed to the discussions within the framework of the plenary session of the General Assembly on issues such as independence, accountability and quality of the judiciary, digital justice, media and judiciary.

The ENCJ is one of the observers to the CCJE, and both institutions have always closely collaborated, exchanged experience and maintained dialogue.
