Functioning of courts in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic

Judge Nina Betetto, President of the CCJE, and Judge Duro Sessa, member of the CCJE Bureau, participated, on 7 May 2020, in an online meeting on functioning of courts in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic organised by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). In the course of the meeting, the following issues have been discussed: matters related to health and safety of judges, court staff and parties of judicial procedures; new types of cases; issues relating to the expiry of emergency measures; judicial administration/ court management; overarching considerations/other issues.
