Council of Europe’s Anti-corruption group invites Lithuania to focus on a proper enforcement of the rules on corruption prevention among members of parliament, judges and prosecutors


[Strasbourg, 11/02/2015] In a report published today, the Council of Europe Anti-Corruption Group (GRECO) acknowledges the comprehensive legal and institutional framework developed by Lithuania to prevent and fight corruption among members of parliament, judges and prosecutors. It also stresses that the authorities now need to shift their focus to ensuring that the legal norms are well understood and properly enforced. (more)

Germany needs to improve tools for preventing corruption, according to Council of Europe Anti-corruption Group


[Strasbourg, 28/01/2015] Although the overall assessment of the German system for ensuring integrity and preventing corruption and misconduct among members of parliament, judges and prosecutors is positive, a report published today by the Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) raises some problems in this regard in Germany.
