About the National
and Regional Seminars

In the framework of its
Joint
Management Agreement (JMA) with the European Commission, the North-South
Centre has been co-organising national and
regional
seminars on global/development education with local partners in the 12 new EU
member states during 2009-2012. Following the new JMA for
2013-2015, a series of regional seminars will be organised
to follow up the previous ones and the 2nd European Congress.
Moreover, kick-off seminars will be organised in EU acceding
and candidate countries. A closing conference will take
place in 2015. These seminars bring together different
stakeholders with the aim to discuss the present situation
of global/development co-operation in the respective country
and promote national policy recommendations and practices.
