European Heritage Network (HEREIN)
Presentation
The European Heritage Network
(HEREIN) is a permanent information system bringing together government departments responsible for cultural heritage under the umbrella of the Council of Europe. Since it was set up in 1999 the network has become a reference point for government bodies, professionals, research workers and non-governmental organisations active in this field.
A new HEREIN database will be available in 2012! (more...)
Online Services
The HEREIN site proposes different on-line services, such as:

The database on heritage policies in Europe provides a multilingual overview of the heritage policies pursued in European countries: funding

The thesaurus is a multilingual terminological tool enabling heritage experts and users to identify concepts, terms, developments and policies. This thesaurus is the first of its kind and is a free software. It covers more than 500 terms in
several languages. Pending the publication of the new Thesaurus, some
linguistic
versions are available in PDF format.
