Committee of Ministers: decisions on the execution of European Court of Human Rights judgments
[25/09/2014] The Committee of Ministers has made public the decisions and resolutions adopted at its third special "human rights" meeting (23-25 September 2014), during which it examined the state of implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The list of examined cases is presented on the website of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
The texts adopted concern Albania, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Committee of Ministers welcomes cease-fire agreement and urges Russia to withdraw all its troops from Ukraine
[18/09/2014] The Council of Europes Ministers Deputies reviewed the situation in Ukraine at their meeting on 17 September, on the basis of the report presented by the Secretary General on his visits to Kyiv and Moscow on 2-4 September.
In their decision, the Ministers Deputies welcomed the Protocol signed in Minsk on 5 September 2014 and called on all parties to strictly respect and fully implement all twelve principles of the Protocol without delay.
In this context, they urged the Russian Federation to withdraw all its troops from Ukraine and to refrain from any further interference in this member country, stressing that the crisis can only be solved on the basis of the principles of the peaceful settlement of disputes.
The Ministers Deputies also encouraged the Secretary General to continue to assist the Ukrainian authorities in the conduct of the necessary internal reforms, in particular regarding the Constitution, the judiciary, decentralisation and the protection of persons belonging to national minorities (more...).

1206th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies
[10/09/2014] The Ministers' Deputies continued to discuss the situation in Ukraine at their 1206th meeting on 10 September.
Also at this meeting, they transmitted to the governments concerned the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) country reports on Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
They took note of the sixth report of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in respect of Liechtenstein.
In the context of their supervision of execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the Deputies closed more than 25 cases with the adoption of final Resolutions.

Extraordinary meeting of the Committee of Ministers
[08/09/2014] At their extraordinary meeting on 8 September, the Ministers' Deputies discussed the situation in Ukraine and heard the Secretary General's report on his recent visits to Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

[02/09/2014] "Intercultural dialogue: interaction between culture and religion": in the framework of the Azerbaijani Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers, the 2014 Council of Europe Exchange on the religious dimension of intercultural dialogue took place at the Hilton Baku Hotel, on 1-2 September 2014.

1205th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies (9 July 2014)
[09/07/2014] At their 1205th meeting, the Ministers' Deputies adopted the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions and decided to open it for signature at the 13th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Sport, which will take place in Magglingen (Switzerland) on 18 September 2014. The purpose of this Convention is to prevent, detect, punish and discipline the manipulation of sports competitions, as well as enhance the exchange of information and national and international cooperation between the public authorities concerned, and with sports organisations and sports betting operators ...
