The Second Steering Committee Meeting of the Action against Economic Crime in Albania took place on 21 April 2017 in Tirana. The Steering Committee Meeting brought together representatives from all main beneficiary institutions of the Action, as well as representatives of European Union Delegation and Council of Europe. Participants discussed the implementation of the Action in the past 6 months and its achievements to date, assessed potential risks and emerging issues for sound Action implementation and approved Action’s work plan and calendar of activities.  The Steering Committee meeting took note of two positive news that were announced by the chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on the approval of the Reporting Templates on Election Campaign Finance by the CEC and the Head of Cabinet of the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Audit of Assets informed that the President has decreed the amendments to the Law on asset declaration.

 The European Union Delegation representative highlighted the importance of the Action as a tool for EU integration process.
