Registration of two appeals before the Administrative Tribunal
06.03.2014 - On 11 and 21 February 2014, the Administrative Tribunal registered two appeals (No. 543/2014 – Bilge KURT TORUN and No. 544/2014 – Carlo TANCREDI (II) v. Secretary General. In the first appeal, the appellant contests the decision informing her that she was excluded from the special procedure under article 24.e of the Regulations on Appointments following the ability tests. In the second appeal, the appellant contests the decision refusing a new classification of his grade. This information is given to enable those who so wish to exercise their right to intervene under Article 10 of the Statute of the Administrative Tribunal.

23.01.2014 - A hearing was held before the Administrative Tribunal on Thursday 30 January 2014 in the Tribunal’s hearing-room in the D building at 11 am in appeal No. 540/2013. The hearing was chaired by Mr. Christos ROZAKIS, Chair of the Tribunal.

09.01.2014 - On 20 December 2013, the Administrative Tribunal registered appeal N° 542/2013 – Carlo TANCREDI v. Secretary General. The appellant contests the decision to refuse to renew his fixed-term contract following the New Staff Policy. The indication of the subject-matter of the appeal is based on the details given by the appellant when the appeal was lodged and it is not binding on the Tribunal. This information is given to enable those who so wish to exercise their right to intervene under Article 10 of the Statute of the Administrative Tribunal.

|25.03.2014 - On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of
its establishment, the
Monetary Fund Administrative Tribunal organises on 4 April 2014 in
Washington a Symposium entitled “The future of international
administrative law: Harmonization? Fragmentation? Dialogue?”, which will
bring together scholars, judges, counsel for applicants and
international organisations’ representatives. On the preceding
day, more than 70 Judges and Registry personnel, representing some
fifteen international administrative tribunals, will be convened for
private meetings. The Council of Europe Administrative Tribunal

03.02.2014 - Mr Christos Rozakis, Chair of the Administrative Tribunal, participated in the conference “Les Journées d’Athènes” organised by the French magazine “le Nouvel Observateur” on 6 and 7 February in Athens, on the occasion of the Greek Presidency of the European Union. These two days of debates on the issue of “Daring democracy”, gathered representatives from the political sphere, intellectuals and experts who discussed the need and means to enhance democracy all over Europe.
