The Committee of Experts on Roma and Traveller Issues (ADI-ROM) of the Council of Europe held its 2nd meeting online on 8-9 October 2020. It took stock of the actions undertaken within the framework of the Council of Europe’s Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion 2020-2025 and discussed, inter alia, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Roma and Travellers and member states’ responses thereto, the fight against anti-Gypsyism and against Roma and Traveller-related hate speech.

ADI-ROM noted with great interest the new EU Roma Strategic Framework for equality, inclusion and participation 2020-2030 as presented by a representative of DG JUSTICE of the European Commission.
