A workshop with the Council of Ethics for the Public Service and civil society organisations was organised within the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe Joint Programme on “Consolidating Ethics in the Public Sector in Turkey” (TYEC2) in Ankara on 18 February 2014. The workshop aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Council of Ethics and NGOs, as well as to discuss possible methodologies for the awareness raising on ethics issues among the general public. As civil society institutions play a crucial role in development of a culture of ethics both in public sector and in the society, the activity serves to further promote ethical principles.
