A workshop regarding the development of a manual of practitioners on illicit enrichment took place, online, on 22 October 2020. The activity brought together several stakeholders such as the Presidency of the Government, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior, the Court of Accounts, the control bodies, the administrative tribunal, the Center for legal and judicial studies as well as representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC).

The development of a manual for practitioners on illicit enrichment aims at providing to the concerned public stakeholders a reference document which explains the concepts and presents guidelines and ways of detection, investigation and prosecution of illicit enrichment in the Tunisian context.

The workshop was an opportunity (i) to discuss and validate with stakeholders about the guidelines of the document to be developed (including the target audience and essential elements to be included therein), and (ii) to have more information concerning the legal framework regulating the illicit enrichment in Tunisia.

This activity was organised upon the initiative of the INLUCC with the support of the Tunisia Anti-corruption Project (TAC) within the framework of the joint programme “Project to support independent bodies in Tunisia” (PAII-T) financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
