Workshop on “Typologies of corruption affecting the entrepreneurs at the regional and municipal levels”

On 13 February 2017, the PRECOP II project held the second workshop on “Typologies of corruption affecting the entrepreneurs at the regional and municipal levels”.

The workshop brought together representatives of Federal and regional Business Ombudsman Offices of four project pilot regions and eighteen other regions, as well as high-level representatives of executive and legislative bodies, legal firms, and business associations of the Tyumen region.

The workshop provided a venue to discuss with all relevant stakeholders the main findings and recommendations of the draft Study on typologies of corruption affecting the entrepreneurs at the regional and municipal levels, prepared by two Council of Europe experts with input from the Working Group established by the project and consisting of representatives of the Regional Business Ombudsman Offices of four pilot regions and of the Federal Business Ombudsman Office.

The participants took active part in discussions and provided valuable input and comments, including practical cases, to be incorporated in the final version of the study.

Finally a comparative analysis of corruption typologies affecting business sector in selected Council of Europe member states was presented by a CoE expert illustrating practical examples and cases.
