The sixth Steering Committee Meeting of the Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo* took place on 16 May 2019. Representatives of main beneficiary institutions including the representatives of the European Union Delegation to Kosovo* and the Council of Europe discussed on the implemented activities and achievements since the last Steering Committee Meeting. Both the European Union Delegation representatives and the beneficiary institutions affirmed the impact of the Project in policy and legislative areas, international cooperation and awareness raising activities related to countering economic crime. Participants emphasized the importance of the Assessment Process in booth AC and AML/CFT areas which provide a detailed roadmap for supporting the future reform agenda aimed at strengthening institutional capacities of Kosovo institutions to counter economic crime.
Expressing satisfaction with achievements, participants noted the need for continuation of the Council of Europe support through the next phase of PECK project. For the remaining period, participants were informed with future activities to be implemented.
