Roundtable on Enhancing Coordination Among National Stakeholders for the Execution of European Court Judgments by Georgia

A roundtable on enhancing coordination among national stakeholders for the execution the European Court of Human Rights Judgments by Georgia was held on 27 September 2024. Key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Special Investigative Agency, the Ministry of Interior and the Parliament of Georgia, attended the meeting alongside with the representatives from the European Court and the Department for the Execution of Judgments.

The primary objective of the roundtable was to enhance the coordination and cooperation among the execution stakeholders to enhance the implementation of European Court’s judgments. Discussions focused on the National Execution of the European Court Judgments Strategy and Action Plan for Georgia, which was developed under previous Council of Europe Project on Enhancing implementation of human rights practices and education in Georgia. Particular emphasis was on its subgoals on improving coordination and cooperation in the execution process and development of a correspondent guideline in line with the strategy.

The event was organized within the framework of the project "Reinforcing National Execution of the European Court's Judgments by Georgia."
