In the framework of the Council of Europe and the European Union Joint Programme on “Application of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights in Azerbaijan” under Eastern Partnership Programmatic Co-operation Framework (PCF) 2015-2017, and in cooperation with the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, two-day training seminar on “The Right to Property under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)” was organized for advocates in Mingachevir city of Azerbaijan. The participants were the practicing advocates representing several central and north-west regions of Azerbaijan
Mr. Farhad Najafov, HELP Info Point in Azerbaijan, presented the HELP Programme and provided detailed information on how to register and modalities of online enrollment to HELP distance-learning and self-learning courses in different languages. For further references, Mr. Najafov presented a Youtube step by step guide for registration on the HELP platform and explained how to be kept up-to-date with the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the application of the Convention through the HELP Programme. In addition, various materials on HELP Programme and ECHR in Azerbaijani language were distributed to the participants.
The national instructors, trained by the Project, Ms. Shafa Jamalzade, Mr. Vusal Ahmadov and Mr. Elyar Hasanov conducted the training seminar that was highly appreciated by the participants.
