The Council of Europe has launched a new project to support a Constitutional Court of Albania that is more efficient, transparent and accessible, contributing to stronger protection of human rights and the rule of law.
Financed by the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (Sida), the project “Strengthening Constitutional Justice and Human Rights in Albania” will support the Constitutional Court in modernising its case management system and strengthening its institutional capacity. The aim is to ensure that constitutional justice is delivered more efficiently, transparently and accessibly, in line with European standards and good practices.
A key focus of the project will be the digital transformation of the Court’s case management system. More effective digital tools and processes are expected to facilitate the handling of cases, improve access to information, and enhance transparency and accountability in the Court’s work.
The project brings together the Constitutional Court, national and international partners, and other key stakeholders around a common objective: to make constitutional justice more efficient, transparent and accessible, while strengthening the Court’s contribution to the protection of human rights and the rule of law in Albania.
