Discussing the progress and challenges of the execution of the Judgements of the European Court of Human Rights Group of Cases “Identoba and others v. Georgia”

The Council of Europe together with the Ministry of Justice organised a working meeting on the execution of the Judgements of the European Court of Human Rights group of cases “Identoba and others v. Georgia”. The event aimed at discussing the implementation process of the “Identoba” Group of Cases, its importance, main challenges, and future steps together with the project main stakeholders.

The working meeting gathered representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court. The participants had an opportunity to learn more about the supervision mechanism by the Committee of Ministers, its relevant practice and the role of the domestic actors.

It is anticipated that this meeting along with other interventions will assist Georgia to successfully execute the “Identoba” Group of Cases.
