Thanks to the fruitful co-operation with the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Macedonian Bar Association, two HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) courses were launched for the benefit of the legal professionals.
The HELP online course on “Admissibility criteria in applications submitted to the European Court of Human Rights” was launched for a group of 45 Macedonian lawyers. By completing the course, participants will understand the criteria governing the admissibility of applications lodged before the Strasbourg Court and the procedure in determining the admissibility of an application.
Moreover, 40 judges and prosecutors will benefit from the HELP online course on “Property rights and the European Convention on Human Rights”. The online course aims to provide legal professionals with the case law of the Strasbourg Court on this matter.
Both courses will be implemented online over a 2-months period and they are available in the Council of Europe HELP e-learning platform.
The online courses are implemented within the joint EU/Council of Europe programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II - "HELP in the Western Balkans”.
