Strengthening information integrity in Bosnia and Herzegovina

 At a glance

This project aims to strengthen the conditions for the effective exercise of freedom of expression and the public’s right of access to accurate information in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the context of a rapidly evolving digital environment. It addresses emerging challenges such as the spread of disinformation, the misuse of artificial intelligence, and low levels of media literacy.

The project will pursue this objective by laying the groundwork for more structured and sustained cooperation with key national partners. It will include a targeted needs analysis, research and data collection related to disinformation and information integrity, and activities aimed at maintaining momentum in ongoing initiatives on the safety of journalists.

In addition, the project will support capacity-building efforts to promote the more consistent application of standards on access to information. Together, these activities will help inform a strategic and coordinated approach to future initiatives, strengthen institutional cooperation, and support the practical implementation of democratic standards.
