Strasbourg conference discusses Council of Europe´s contribution to the fight against corruption

The French OCEAN network on anti-corruption gathered 13 October French and international academics to discuss the Council of Europe´s contribution to the fight against corruption.

Co-organised by the University of Strasbourg (CEIFAC, URM-DRES) and the Council of Europe (OCEAN) the one-day conference gathered around 100 French and international academics, students, and legal professionals on the Council of Europe´s premises.

Intended to be the beginning of a series of conferences and research projects presentations discussed various aspects of corruption, seen from historical, philosophical and psychological perspectives, the existing international anti-corruption standards and their efficiency, as well as the impact of the two Council of Europe conventions on corruption on national legislation, with the help of case studies.
