Today, in Strasbourg, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mr Thorbjørn Jagland, Mr Ásmundur Einar DADASON, Minister of Social Affairs and Equality in Iceland, deposited the instrument of ratification in respect of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (CETS No.210).

The Convention will enter into force, as regards Iceland, on the 1st of August 2018.

Iceland becomes the 30th State to ratify the Convention (more).
