Some 1,000 Rectors, policy makers in Ministries of Education, at higher education institutions, and in NGOs, and higher education practitioners celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Bologna Declaration at the University of Bologna on June 24 – 25. The program of conference, called “The Bologna Process beyond 2020: Fundamental Values of the EHEA”, comprised a celebration June 24 and working sessions on June 25.
The Head of the Council of Europe’s Education Department, Sjur Bergan, delivered one of the keynote speeches at the celebration on June 24 and participated in a round table on “Academic and Related Civic Values in Changing Societies” on June 25.
