On 17 March, the Execution Department had a meeting with representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security and the Deputy of the Netherlands Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe. During the meeting the practice and procedure of the Committee of Ministers related to the supervision of European Court judgments as well as outstanding issues on pending cases against the Netherlands were discussed. The discussion also focused on the implementation of judgments related to conditions of detention and life imprisonment in Sint Maarten, Curaçao and Aruba (in the Caribbean) (Corallo and Murray cases).
