The Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages has just published three new reports on the application of the Charter in Armenia, Montenegro and Sweden.
Prepared by a committee of independent experts that monitors the implementation of the Charter, the reports acknowledge efforts made by the authorities to protect regional and minority languages, but also examine shortcomings in this domain. The reports also contain comments made by the national authorities on the evaluation.
The reports have been transmitted to the Committee of Ministers for the adoption of recommendations to each State Party, on the basis of the proposals for recommendations contained in the evaluation report.
