The Council of Europe project in Georgia aims at reinforcing data protection in the country.

Its three specific objectives aim at enabling an effective and harmonised implementation of the legal data protection framework in Georgia, in particular by

  • providing sectorial guidance in the field of media and telecommunications;
  • setting up a Georgian version of Data Protection module of the HELP for lawyers and legal professionels;
  • supporting the Office of the Inspector in its efforts in sectorial awareness raising.
