Workshop on Tunisia's accession to regional and international anti-corruption mechanisms

A workshop on Tunisia’s accession to regional and international anti-corruption cooperation mechanisms took place on 15 July 2020 in Tunis. It had the participation of relevant institutional stakeholders including the National Anti-corruption Authority (INLUCC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation. The Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe was represented by Mr Gianluca Esposito, Head of Action against Crime Department, Executive Secretary of GRECO and Ethics Officer at the Council of Europe who took part by videoconference to this activity.

The meeting made it possible to present the various regional and international instruments to which Tunisia has acceded, to take stock of the situation on those to which the processes have not yet been completed and to define the opportunities about networking and multilateral cooperation. Needed follow-up and support will be provided to regional and international integration to relevant mechanisms.

This activity under the initiative of INLUCC with the support of the Tunisia Anti-corruption Project (TAC) under the framework of the joint programme “Project to support independent bodies in Tunisia” (PAII-T) which is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and is implemented by the latter.
