A workshop on the development of a guide on conflicts of interest took place, online, on October 8, 2020. The activity brought together a number of stakeholders, namely the Parliament, the Presidency of the Government, the Court of Auditors, the control bodies, the administrative tribunal, as well as the representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC). The objective of this activity was to provide the different stakeholders with a reference document which explains the concepts related to conflicts of interest and present guidelines on management methods that can be used in the Tunisian context.

The workshop was an opportunity (i) to discuss and validate with the main stakeholders the direction for the production of CoI guidelines (the target groups, the essential elements to be included in the guide, etc.), (ii ) discuss the recurring typologies of conflicts of interest in the Tunisian context and (iii) to gather further information concerning the legal and normative framework governing conflicts of interest in Tunisia.

This activity was organized on the initiative of the INLUCC with the support of the Anti-corruption project in Tunisia (ACT) within the framework of the joint program “Support project for independent bodies in Tunisia” (PAII-T) financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
