On 14 and 15 March 2019, PECK II Project held a two day workshop to discuss the role and importance of dissemination of intelligence between the FIU and its counterpart institutions. Representatives of the FIU, Police, Customs, Tax Administration, Anti-Corruption Agency, International Law Enforcement Unit (ILECU), National Centre for Border Management, and Kosovo Intelligence Agency had the opportunity to present the current practice used by their institutions to disseminate intelligence, which provided an overview of shortcomings and an opportunity to reflect on needs for a uniform approach reflected into Standard Operating Procedures.
Participants also benefited from the experience of the Council of Europe’s expert who presented international practice and standards in relation to dissemination of intelligence. Discussions from the workshop will result in the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
