Launch of the SRSP initative on implementation of the National Horizontal Action Plan against Corruption in Cyprus

The 2020 CoE/EU Structural Reform Support Programme initiative for Cyprus was launched on 6 July 2020, through a virtual kick-off meeting of the project Steering Committee. The initiative is aimed at supporting Cypriot authorities with implementation of specific actions from the National Horizontal Action Plan against Corruption. The meeting was opened by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Cypriot Ministry of Justice and Public Order (MJPO), a representative of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM), and Mr Gianluca Esposito, Head of Council of Europe Action against Crime Department. During the meeting, the Committee agreed on modalities of implementation of project activities and discuss next steps in light of the Covid-19 crisis.

The project Steering Committee will meet every 6 months to follow the progress of activities and discuss project deliverables.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Structural Reform Support Programme initiative “Implementation of the National Horizontal Action Plan against Corruption in Cyprus”, funded by the European Commission Directorate General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM) and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
