On 2 and 3 April 2019, the PECK II Project held a workshop to discuss a proposal for the Draft Model Regulation on the Mandate of Responsible Authorities for implementing the Law on Conflict of Interest in Discharge of Public Functions. The event gathered 33 participants representing the Anti-corruption Agency, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, Kosovo Police, Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Tax Administration, Kosovo Customs, Justice Academy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Inspectorate, Water Services Regulatory Authority, Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo, National Audit Office, Railway Regulatory Authority, Kosovo Intelligence Agency.
Participants actively contributed to the discussion and used their particular expertise to introduce changes to the substance of the Draft in order to ensure that the Regulation falls within the remits of the law and particular profiles of institutions. A finalised draft Model Regulation reflecting the outcome of discussions will be shared with beneficiary institutions for further adoption.
