The Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on Laundering, Search, Seizure and Confiscation of the Proceeds from Crime and on the Financing of Terrorism has been adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 15 May 2026, and opened for signature on 14 October 2026, on the occasion of the Octopus Conference.

The Additional Protocol extends the scope of asset recovery tools and mechanisms provided for in the Convention and strengthens the powers of competent authorities in the fields of asset management and international co-operation.

The Additional Protocol is now available in four languages, including Spanish and Arabic, for information purposes.
