Know-How guidelines on data collection and analysis to assess the functioning of the judicial system in Kosovo*

On 1 December 2020, an online consultation has been organised with representatives of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) and the Special Advisor of the EU Office in Kosovo to discuss the questions of the CEPEJ Evaluation Scheme related to the prosecutorial caseload, in order to improve the Know-How guidelines  on judicial data collection currently being prepared by the KoSEJ II Action. This document has been designed to assist beneficiaries in applying the CEPEJ methodology in order to improve the quality of the data collected during the assessment exercises led by the Ministry of Justice. It provides practical examples of how questions should be interpreted and answered. The meeting was also an opportunity to speak about the future statistical reports that will be generated by the CMIS for the prosecution and the possibility that some case categories may not match. The participants welcomed the initiative to prepare such know-how guidelines.

This activity has been organised by the KoSEJ II Action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Kosovo*”, which is part of the programme entitled "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
