CEPEJ key performance indicators included in dashboards for courts and prosecution in Kosovo*

On 4 February 2022, the CMIS (Case Management Information System) project within the Kosovo Judicial Council and Kosovo Prosecutorial Council presented dashboards to monitor court and prosecution performance to the members of the Users’ Working Group which is working to advance the CMIS in Kosovo. These dashboards have been prepared based on recommendations from the CEPEJ experts Mr Marco Fabri and Mr Jacques Bulher, taking into consideration the specific needs and technological capabilities of the justice system in Kosovo. They incorporate key CEPEJ performance indicators that will help monitoring the time management in the courts and prosecution offices, as recommended in the CEPEJ Handbook on Court Dashboards (https://rm.coe.int/cepej-2021-8-handbook-on-court-dashboards-en/1680a2c2f6). The new feature in the CMIS as it will facilitate the use of judicial statistics. Court presidents, head of prosecution offices, judges and prosecutors will receive training on how to use this new feature as a tool to measure performance and improve judicial efficiency.   The dashboards are presented on the website of the Kosovo Judicial Council: https://www.gjyqesori-rks.org/2022/02/04/u-mbajt-takimi-i-47-i-grupit-punues-te-perdoruesve-te-projektit-smil/

This activity is organised by the KoSEJ II Action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Kosovo”, which is part of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility of the Western Balkans and Turkey II", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
