The Committee of Experts on the Protection of Lawyers (CJ-AV) met on 13-15 May 2024 to continue its work on the drafting of the future convention aiming to improve the protection of the profession of lawyers. During this meeting, the CJ-AV examined the contributions received as part of a stakeholder consultation held from February to April 2024, an important step in improving the future legal instrument. The draft convention as revised in the light of these contributions is to be examined by the European Committee on Legal Co-operation (CDCJ) at its forthcoming plenary meeting (11-13 June 2024).  A final drafting meeting to finetune the legal instrument will take place on 9-11 September 2024.
