The “Support to the Judicial Reform in Georgia” Project in partnership with the Georgian Bar Association published a compilation of legal acts and regulations, which includes the Rules of the Bar Association, the Code of Ethics for Lawyers, the Regulation on Disciplinary Liability and Disciplinary Proceedings, the Symbols of the Association, a sample of lawyer’s warrants and other relevant acts useful for the exercise of the lawyer profession. It also includes the decision of the Constitutional Court of Georgia regarding the constitutionality of certain articles of the Law of Georgia on Advocates. The objective of this compilation is to provide guidance in particular to lawyers at the beginning of their career. In the words of one lawyer, this compilation, in combination with the mandatory traineeship programme is going to provide a helpful preparatory guidance before actually entering a courtroom.

The compilation is published within the framework of the “Support to the Judicial Reform” Project, funded by voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, the Slovak Republic and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
