An Ad hoc meeting on Statelessness Determination Procedures took place in the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg on 11-12 June 2019.

This meeting follows the decision of the European Committee on Legal Co-operation (CDCJ) to carry out, in 2019, a preliminary review of protocols and procedures used by member States to determine and resolve cases of statelessness, in particular that of migrant children.

The event brought together national experts and key stakeholders in Europe to exchange views and experiences on national practices and recent initiatives undertaken in this field.

The meeting identified possible gaps and new challenges in this field.
