The third and final phase of the training of trainers planned to strengthen the capacities of judges and prosecutors on fundamental rights and freedoms was organised in Ankara on 7-8 September 2017. The third phase of the training, which was organized in cooperation with the Justice Academy, focused on “training methods and techniques” and “classroom management”. The objective of the training was to improve the capacities of trainer judges and prosecutors in terms of their roles, attitudes, interactions in the training sessions that they will deliver to their peers as well as implementing critical thinking and questioning techniques in group works. Training also included group works on techniques to be followed in implementing modules in regional/ local training sessions.

Under the project, training of trainers was organised for nearly 60 judges and prosecutors in coordination with the Justice Academy of Turkey. Judges and prosecutors who successfully completed their training will start to deliver regional/local trainings to their peers as of October 2017. The training sessions will specifically aim to reach 3000 judges and prosecutors who have been recently recruited. You can find other project news on the website in Turkish and the social media presence of the project on Facebook and Twitter.
