Meetings of the Ad hoc Committee on Counterfeiting of Medical Products and similar crimes involving threats to public health (PC-ISP) in 2009

A new plenary committee (PC-ISP) with the participation of all member states, Observers and other International Organisations was created in 2009 to negotiate and finalise the draft Convention on Counterfeit Pharmaceutical Products and Similar Crimes Involving Threats to Public Health. Two negotiating sessions were held in 2009. The terms of reference of this committee expired on 31 December 2009. The Convention is expected to be opened for signature in 2010.
