Secretariat

The secretariat prepares and organises the meetings of the Steering Committee for Equality between Women and Men and its groups of specialists, as well as the European Ministerial Conferences on Equality between Women and Men. The secretariat's duties are not confined to practical and administrative activities - they also include assistance in designing the committee's programme, co-ordinating and participating in the committee's work.

The secretariat is also responsible for implementing the programme of co-operation activities in the field of equality between women and men.
