Council of Europe launches anti-corruption project in Turkey
The Council of Europe is launching a new
technical co-operation project entitled “Ethics for the Prevention of
Corruption in Turkey” (TYEC). The two-year project will also help
implement the recommendations made to Turkey by the Council’s Group of
States against Corruption (GRECO). The project is 90% funded by the
European Commission and 10% by the Council of Europe. It will be
implemented by the Council of Europe’s Economic Crime Division.
The launch event will start at 10.30am on Thursday 7 February 2008 at the Hotel Hilton in Ankara. The Press is invited to attend the opening session from 11.00am to 11.45am.
