The Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe is launching a series of “Data Protection Talks”, one per semester.
For this first edition the Data Protection Unit has the pleasure of welcoming Max Schrems, a passionate privacy activist who launched the Europe vs Facebook initiative, which campaigns against Facebook’s privacy policies. He also initiated the legal proceedings that led to the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union of 6 October 2015, which invalidated the European Commission’s “Safe Harbor” scheme and shook the entire digital transatlantic exchanges.
