The Council of Europe, the Finnish League for Human Rights, The Human Rights Centre and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland are organising a seminar on Hate Speech.
Discussions will focus on standards and tools to tackle hate speech, what is hate speech and who is targeted by it, what is the difference between a hate crime and hate speech, sexist hate speech, the responsibility of authorities, the role of media, good practice, challenges to implement standards etc.
The seminar will bring together international experts, authorities, politicians, policy makers, representatives from the media as well as people representing different groups targeted by hate speech.
